I ordered this for my AmStaff, Diesel, and it exceeded my expectations. I got it from Luxury Dog Collar—shipping was quick and it arrived in a sturdy gift box, which was a nice touch. The buffalo leather is thick and smells amazing; you can tell it’s a real piece of craftsmanship, not some flimsy pet store junk. The spikes look mean but aren’t sharp at all, so he can still roughhouse without hurting himself or other dogs. The engraved name plate is super clear, deep letters that won’t rub off. I’ve been using it for about two months now, rain and all, and the chrome plating on the hardware hasn’t dulled or chipped. Only tiny thing is I wish there was a small care leaflet inside—I just use a bit of leather conditioner and it stays supple. If you want a collar that turns heads at the dog park and holds up to a strong puller, this is it.

This collar is really impressive in person. The buffalo leather is dense and has a nice, subtle shine, and the stitching is neat all around. My 70-pound Boxer has been wearing it daily for three weeks and there’s zero wear on the buckle or D-ring. The spikes are exactly the matte gunmetal finish I wanted—edgy but not over-the-top. I’m only giving four stars because the sizing threw me off. I measured exactly as instructed, but the collar came out a bit snug, so I had to punch an extra hole myself (the leather is tough, so it was a workout). The name plate is engraved beautifully, but I do wish it were a tad thicker for peace of mind with a dog that lunges at squirrels. Overall though, a premium collar that looks custom-made and gets constant questions on walks. Would buy again, just maybe order half an inch bigger next time.
