I got this for my pit mix who’s scared of her own shadow—figured the spikes would make her look tough, lol. The collar definitely delivers on the aggressive look. Leather is good quality, no weird chemical smell. The engraved plate with her derpy photo turned out hilarious and clear. I will say, the collar is CHUNKY. It’s probably ideal for a larger breed. My dog is 55 lbs, neck size 18″, and it’s right on the edge of being too heavy for her daily wear. She wears it for short walks and photo ops. Spikes are real metal and sharpish—I wouldn’t let her greet other dogs while wearing it because it could scratch. One spike arrived slightly loose in the threading, but I tightened it with pliers. For the price, I expected everything to be perfect out of the box, hence 4 stars. Still, it’s a unique piece and I get a kick out of seeing my dog’s mug engraved on steel.
