I measured my dog’s neck exactly as instructed, but the collar fits a bit looser than I expected even on the tightest hole. Not a dealbreaker because he’s a fluffy golden, but keep in mind the buckle adds some length. That said, the leather is beautiful – deep mahogany color with subtle grain – and the engraved name is so much more elegant than a hanging tag that clanks against his water bowl. It’s held up to mud and a few swims without stiffening. I just wish they offered half-sizes or an extra hole option out of the box. Still, I get compliments on it at the park all the time.
