I’m giving this 4 stars because it’s absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is obvious. The buffalo leather has a rich, slightly distressed look, and the lamb lining is buttery—my rescue pit mix usually rubs his neck raw with flat collars, but this has been a game changer. The engraved name plate is elegant and lower-profile than I expected. My only hesitation is the iron chain. It’s no joke. The collar is heavy, and if your dog isn’t used to carrying extra weight, it might take some adjustment. For a powerful puller, the chain adds control without needing a prong. I also wish the hardware came in a matte finish option. That said, it feels handmade and durable; I trust it completely. Not for a dainty pup, but for a muscular dog, it’s a statement piece that works.

I have a 100lb Rottweiler who destroys collars. This one is a beast. The outer buffalo leather is thick and feels indestructible, but the lambskin lining is so soft that I don’t worry about his neck getting irritated even after long walks. The iron chain gives it serious weight and presence—he actually seems to strut like he owns the yard. I ordered a personalized name plate and the engraving is deep and crisp, not something that will rub off. Luxury Dog Collar shipped it really fast, and it arrived in a nice box with a velvet pouch, which was a nice touch. It’s definitely a lifetime collar. My only tiny nitpick is that the chain jingles quite a bit, but hey, I always know where he is. If you’ve got a strong dog that needs real hardware, this is the one.
