Got this for my Doberman and I was honestly a little skeptical ordering a handmade collar online, but Luxury Dog Collar shipped it out fast and the packaging kept everything from getting scratched. The leather is thick, genuine buffalo hide like they say—you can smell it’s real without that chemical stink. Spikes are solid metal with a dull chrome finish, not pointy enough to hurt anyone, just enough to give off that don’t-pet-me vibe. The name plate engraving was exactly what I typed in the custom box, deep and crisp. Fits my dog’s neck with room to adjust, and he doesn’t try to rub it off, so it must be comfortable. Only tiny thing is the buckle is heavy, so if your dog is under 40 pounds it might feel bulky. For my 85-pound boy, it’s perfect. Already got a couple compliments at the park.

I ordered this collar from Luxury Dog Collar and the whole experience was smooth—shipping was surprisingly fast. The collar itself is genuinely impressive. The buffalo leather is thick and sturdy, with a nice matte finish that doesn’t scuff easily. I have a 70lb pitbull who pulls like a tractor, and this collar holds up without stretching. The engraved name plate is perfectly centered and deeply etched; you can read my dog’s name clearly from several feet away. The spikes are set evenly and have a rounded, almost decorative edge—they’re not dangerously sharp, which I appreciated. It’s definitely a statement piece. We’ve had a couple rainy walks already and the leather didn’t soak through, just wiped dry. If I had one tiny wish, it’d be for a slightly softer inner lining for dogs with sensitive skin, but it’s not rough by any means. All in all, this collar looks like it cost twice what I paid. I was looking for something durable and a bit edgy for my Rottweiler, and this fits the bill. The leather quality is obvious right away—smells like real leather, not chemicals, and the stitching is straight and tight. The custom engraving came out exactly as I typed it, no typos or misalignment. My only quibble: after about two weeks of daily wear, one of the spikes started loosening up. I tightened it myself with a dab of threadlocker, no big deal, but for the price I wish the hardware was fully set-and-forget. The chrome finish hasn’t flaked though, and the buckle feels heavy-duty. Water resistance is decent; we got caught in a drizzle and it didn’t become soggy. I’d still recommend it, just do a quick check on the spikes before heading out. The collar really does get compliments from other dog owners, and the name plate adds a nice personal touch.
