Got this for my Belgian Malinois who needs a strong collar. The leather is genuine and has a nice rich pink hue—not too bubblegum, more of a dusty rose. The crystal studs are well-set; none have fallen out after a few weeks of rough play. Name engraving on the buckle plate came out perfect. The leash clip is heavy-duty and attaches securely. My only wish is that the leash handle was a bit thicker or padded, because when he lunges suddenly it can dig into my palm a little. That’s the reason for four stars instead of five. It’s still a great value for a handmade set, and it looks so much more expensive than it is. He gets compliments constantly.

However, after about three weeks of everyday use (she’s an active dog), I started noticing one or two crystals missing. Now, a month in, a few more have fallen out around the edges. The leather itself is still in great shape, no fraying or cracking, and the nameplate is intact. I think this set is better suited for special occasions or less rambunctious dogs. I’m a little disappointed given the price point – I didn’t expect it to be indestructible, but I did hope the crystals would be more securely set.
