This collar looks incredible on my Rottweiler—the asymmetric plates give it a really unique, almost medieval vibe. The craftsmanship is clearly there, but out of the box the leather was quite stiff, which I guess is normal for genuine thick hide. After a few days of wear and a light coat of leather conditioner, it started softening up nicely. The chain jingles a bit when he shakes his head, which I find funny, but it could be annoying if you’re trying to be quiet on night walks. The steel plates haven’t scratched at all despite him rubbing against our stone fence. One thing: make sure you measure your dog’s neck carefully, because there’s no stretch, so it fits exactly as ordered. I bought it as a gift to myself after a bonus, and it definitely delivers that tough, premium feel without looking like a gimmick.

I’ve got a 130lb Cane Corso who destroys everything, and this thing is finally something he can’t shred. The leather is thick—like real saddle leather—and the steel plates are riveted solid, not glued on. I was a little worried the chain accent would be flimsy, but it’s heavy chrome and actually adds to the look without getting in the way when I clip a leash to the D-ring.
