Ordered this from Luxury Dog Collar for my 90lb boxer mix who has a habit of testing every piece of gear he wears. The packaging was surprisingly nice, no weird chemical smell at all—just rich leather when I opened the box. The buffalo hide is noticeably thick and stiff at first, but it softened up within a couple of days of daily walks without losing any structural strength. The personalized nameplate came out perfectly laser-etched, crisp lettering that hasn’t faded after a few rainy trails and a swim in the river. The hardware is solid, good weight, no chipping on the chrome finish so far. My only minor nitpick is that the D-ring on the back is a bit smaller than what I’m used to, which makes clipping a thicker carabiner a little fiddly, especially when he’s excited. Once it’s on, though, the harness stays put and doesn’t slide around. Genuinely impressed with the workmanship—it looks less like pet store gear and more like something a craftsman made. Worth every penny.

The leather is thick and smells amazing, real buffalo hide. The hardware is heavy-duty, no flimsy buckles. The engraving on the name plate is deep and crisp, no fear of it rubbing off. My dog seems comfortable in it; the padding inside is a nice touch. I’ve had it for three weeks and it’s already broken in beautifully. My only tiny suggestion: maybe include a little guide on how to measure the neck and chest properly, as I almost ordered the wrong size. The harness is a work of art, honestly. The buffalo leather is gorgeous — deep brown with a subtle sheen, and it’s clearly built to last. The engraving on the nameplate came out perfect. I bought this for my Labrador, who’s always pulling, and I was a little nervous because he’s hard on gear. So far, after a month, no stretching or loose stitches. Why 4 stars? The sizing chart on the product page was a bit optimistic. I followed it exactly and the harness ended up a tad loose, even on the tightest setting. I had to punch an extra hole in the strap myself, which was a hassle. If you order, maybe size down. Also, the leather was stiff at first, but it softened after a week of wear. Overall, it’s a premium purchase that will probably outlive my dog, just double-check those measurements.
