The braided black leather is thick but not clunky, and the lion logo has a nice antique brass finish that catches the light without looking gaudy. I got this for my Rottweiler and the braided design with the lion logo is seriously impressive. The leather is real, smells great, and the craftsmanship shows. Only reason I’m knocking off a star is that it arrived quite stiff. For a sensitive dog, the edges rubbed a little until I conditioned it with leather balm twice. After a week of wear it softened nicely and now fits like a glove. The hardware is heavy-duty and hasn’t tarnished. I’d just say be ready to put in a little effort to make it supple out of the box, especially for a big dog with short fur. Still, it’s a gorgeous collar that handles the power of a 110-pound dog effortlessly.

I’ve got a Great Dane with a 24-inch neck, so I ordered the largest size listed. The collar is stunning – the braided leather and lion logo look even better in person, and you can tell it’s built to last. However, it barely buckles on the very last hole, leaving almost no tail. There’s no room for a correction or even pulling without it looking too tight. The quality isn’t the issue, it’s the fit guide that let me down. For extra-extra-large breeds, measure carefully or maybe ask for a custom option. I’m keeping it because the look is unmatched, but I can’t use it as a daily walking collar until I punch an extra hole, which is disappointing for the price.
