Bought this from Luxury Dog Collar for my Doberman. Shipping was fast, no issues. The leather is genuinely nice – thick but pliable – and the inner padding keeps him from getting red marks. The disappointment is the brass. After about three weeks of light daily wear, the shiny knuckle emblem and spikes developed a dull, spotty greenish tarnish. We haven’t been in water or heavy rain. I’ve had to polish it twice already, and one spike is already loosening. For the price, I expected the hardware to need less maintenance. The collar still gets compliments, but I’m worried about long-term durability of the metal pieces.

This thing is a beast. I’ve got a big Cane Corso and regular collars look like toys on him. The width is perfect, the brown buffalo leather has that worn-in look straight out of the box, and the padded lining is actually thick enough that it doesn’t rub his neck. The brass knuckle emblem is surprisingly detailed – you can see each finger curve, not just a blob of metal. Spikes are securely riveted, not glued on. He wears it every day and the leather has only gotten softer. Only thing, it’s heavy, so not a collar for a dog that isn’t used to some weight. No regrets.

The collar itself is impressive – deep brown color, heavy brass, the knuckle emblem is a real conversation starter at the park. The padded inside keeps my Staffy comfortable even during a long walk. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: the emblem sits a bit proud and my dog managed to hook it on his crate wire once. We bent it back, but if your dog is an escape artist, keep an eye on it. Also, the brass spikes look great but will tarnish if they get wet often, so I wipe them down. Still a solid buy.
